I like camera up and down movements in my videos and so far I used a radio knob to control the tilt angle. But to change the angle, I have to take one hand of my radio. This means I cannot fly forward, pan the copter and tilt at the same time. With two hands, I can only control two of these movements.
So I build a DIY head tracker and configured my radio so that I can control the tilt angle through the head tracker. Technically it works very well, but I didn't like using my head to control the tilt angle. I often look down at my radio, which immediately makes the camera move down. I also did not like the cable between the radio and the head tracker on my head.
So I attached the head tracker sensor to my radio and when I tilt the radio, it now controls the camera angle. I can keep my hands on the radio and with smooth up and down tilts of the radio, I'm able to control all flight movements and the camera tilt at the same time. I need to practice this more, but the first two flights went pretty well.
Btw. the head tracker as a button to pause the head tracker. So I can easily switch it on and off during flight.
