THE PROPOSAL (what I attempted to memorize for the big moment):
Two years ago at this amazing party called Girls In Wonderland, at this very same pool, I was visiting my friends in Orlando (who are here today).
Before I went back to the airport, I stopped by this party just to check it out ...
I was single and heartbroken at the time - but sometimes it seems that life begins again when you least expect it.
So in the two hours I had left before heading back to Virginia, I did what any lesbian in her right mind would do - Party in Florida!
Then, Shirley showed up ... and changed my life forever. This HOT, lovely lady came over to ME ... and instantly, there was hope.
Shirley, I've been in love with you since the day we met, right here at your favorite party.
After meeting you, I got back to Virginia and said, that's it - I'm gonna move to Florida. I'm gonna move my job down there. I'm gonna give this a real shot ... So I did :) ... and here we are.
Shirley, you're the love of my life. I want to grow old with you and have lots of puppies! I love you with all my heart ... Will you marry me?
By the way, your mom said I could marry you, and she's right up there :)
