This was a gift for my mother, the most computer illiterate person alive. She insisted on an All-in-one exactly like like old one where the display went out. I tried to explain that if she had a desktop a new monitor would have fixed the problem instead of purchasing basically a huge expensive laptop that you cant take with you. Now I have nothing against all-in-one computer, in fact I have repaired bunches of them and they keep me employed. They are space saving, look nice, and perfect for a normal non gamer or CAD user. For just the average user this is a great machine and very easy to set up and get going. It had to be fool proof or I would be constantly getting calls or at her house fixing this or that and reconnecting wires or rebooting. The picture quality was quite surprising, plenty of RAM and processing speed for her needs. I had it delivered to me by Amazon Prime (which is awesome by the way and if you don't have Amazon Prime yet...get it), to my house so I could do all the ridiculous amount of Windows updates, installed all her programs (solitaire, free cell...) that Windows 8 got rid of. It took a half a day to update and install everything and get it ready to use. It was really easy to explain Windows 8 to her, which was a shock. I told her Windows 8 uses apps like her cell phone but doesn't make phone calls calls. She actually loves it and now she calls every day to tell me how much she likes it and what all she figured out how to do. I can't get break, but as long as Mom is happy my life is better. For that alone I give it five stars!
