Jamie Isaac takes Diamond Supply Co. on a personal tour through the streets of South London, where he was born, raised and has never left. And while his musical homage to his hometown won’t change, Isaac muses on evolving lyrically by becoming more open and, therefore, more pure.
He credits Johnny Cash for this creative growth spurt, describing the American icon as a huge influence – not just on his music, but also on his personal style. It’s the reason why Isaac is the ideal candidate to perform a cover of Cash’s “Sunday Morning Coming Down” – as part of Diamond’s collaboration with the late musician – which he admits gets him out of bed when he’s feeling the aftermath of a heavy night.
