Filling HP cartridges and exposing the full cartridge myth. What you thought you got is not what you actually get. Beat the high cost of ink cartridges by filling them yourself. $1.40 per fill. Very simple, quick and easy.
If your printer needs to be reset you will find in your printers manual is a section that shows you how to finish printing an image after the printer stops midway through the project.
It is fairly simple where you hold down one of the buttons for 5 seconds. This will clear the empty cartridge light. This must be done with each color as the empty ink light appears. If you no longer have your printers manual go to the HP website and look up your printer manual and you can download it in a .pdf file.
Please be aware that if you let the cartridge run dry it probably will no longer be refillable. It will accept the ink but will not release the ink.
Refill when you get between 1/4 to 1/2 full. If you follow this filling technique you will average from 8 to 12 refills.
When you purchase the ink, look for the second "Add to Cart" button (on the above page link) that is priced $56.00. This will provide you with enough ink to refill ea. color about 14 times and 7 times for the black because the black is double capacity.
