This is a DIY 3d printed RC transmitter I made. It was designed to be used for a second person to control the camera and gimbal on my hexacopter.
My hex is built with two cameras, one for the pilot on the frame, and the high quality NEX5 on the gimbal. With dual FPV feeds, I can concentrate on flying, while a second person can work the camera. I have a video switch, so that I can toggle between both views when flying solo, too.
I used an Arduino Uno to format the PPM signal required to the Spektrum RF module. A PlayStation controller joystick and some push buttons are mounted on the face. I included bluetooth and 915 MHz telemetry so that my phone can run Tower app (for Pixhawk flight controller) and be secured in one easy to use unit.
