After finally having assembled the frame, and painting it 'Fungineers red', the PWM/PPM control was flawless and just needed some tuning. However, the VESC decided to not accept PWM/PPM and so I had to look for alternative method of control. UART is a good option, but the Arduino Nano is slow with UART, therefore I tried the Arduino Mega, and finally settled for the small, but handy Arduino Pro Micro (with a dedicated Serial port).
Finally, the UART control is running, but a few minor issues are still to be solved.
Hopefully, these are ironed out quick.
