This is the fist test with my steam rocket engine. This steam rocket engine works by heating water in a closed, high pressure, chamber to a point over the boiling point at atmospheric pressure.
When the chamber is opened to the environment, the water boils in a short time and expands to more then the factor 1000 and exits the nozzle in a short time, depending on the temperature and the resulting pressure inside the tank.
This test ran at 6-7 bar with 1l water. The temperature was about 130°C.
