I've been flying drone since 2012,Owned many DJI Phantom series - quadcopters. It's a wonderful QC.In early 2014, I've experienced an almost flyaway issue with my Phantom 2.It disconnected with my controller while in flight and flew above the sea and it flew almost 1KM distance/away from its home point and returned 15 minutes later.Since that day, I've feared to fly again.Anxious to fly above sea.A year later I bought the new DJI Inspire 1.For the past two weeks with it,I can tell you that,it's the best quadcopter that I've ever owned. The camera quality worth to mention - 4K,is excellent, the gimbal works like magic, the App is brilliant and the quadcopter design is futuristic.I simply love it.It's AWESOME.Yes there is a few bugs we all encounter along the way but I strongly believe that it can be fixed.
Handling and control is a pleasure, easy and fun.Never missed a photo or video recording during each flight,it's just that awesome. With that in mind I've decided to break my fear flying my quadcopter above the sea.So I challenged myself, my first target was to fly my quadcopter above the sea, 500 meters away from a home point.
On 20th Feb 2015 - I brought my Inspire 1 to the nearest beach, set it up, and pursue my challenge, will I make it?…, watch the video.Hope you guys enjoy.
