NASA satellite Kepler discovered many earthlike planets orbiting around stars similar to our Sun. Most amazing is the discovery of Kepler 452b, the most Earth-like planet ever encountered. Located in the Goldilocks zone of its host star, this planet would have “just the right” conditions to support liquid water and possibly even life. So, it is logical to assume that there are other intelligent life forms similar to ours in the Universe. Awe inspiring to think of the possibility of the first close encounter. Let's hope it will be a peaceful one (not "Independence Day" movie scenario).
