Dr. Long, Carleton University, is interested in the EU foreign and security policy. The EU is a unique actor that has to deal with different levels of decision making in the field of foreign and security policy. In this prospect, professor Long is interested in the way in which Canada, an external actor, can influence the EU decision making process in areas such as trade or the environment.
