First test with both tread sections connected. At first I blew several sets of fuses, but after loosening the tension as well as upgrading to 20amp fuses, the drive seems to work really well. At 6volts it travels at a very nice speed on hard surfaces, but nearly ground to a halt on thick grass. I might need to run at a full 12volts to realize the drives full potential, and reduce the speed through the remote.
Next I will mount the 64 rubber treads and see how that pans out. It should reduce the vibration, which is considerable at the moment, and also lower the friction on the treads as they contact the ground.
