I’ve been looking at Dromida’s lineup of small-scale cars and trucks with great interest over the past year and was thrilled when their new 1/18-scale BL Monster Truck showed up on my doorstep. I owe Hobbico a huge “thank you” for this review opportunity and have been loving every second spent with this little beast.
A ready-to-run model, everything you’ll need to get up and running is included in the box. The Dromida BL Monster Truck includes a 2.4GHz radio system, waterproof electronics, oil-filled shocks, and a durable chassis. The other items included in the box are a USB charger (for the included NiMh battery), four AA batteries (transmitter), shock adjustment rings, and an instruction manual.
As far as R/C monster trucks go, this model seems to be more of a SCT and monster truck mix rather than a true monster truck. That said, the 5300kv brushless motor that’s nestled beneath the body makes this machine rip. Although I’ve only had this model out for a handful of short drives, I’m loving what I see from it.
