A beautiful morning, with the sun shining. Time for a drone flight, down by the riverside.
Winds were still high, with some nasty gusts, causing some shaking sidewards. All drone footage was stabilized in post, and a portion of the leg cropped out. It can still be seen briefly in come shots. I need to find a way to adjust the camera further, or try a different style of camera to miss the leg altogether. Cropping reduces quality.
The X380 performed brilliantly again. The gimbal did its job. It's the cheap 2-axis one found on chinese websites. I replaced the driver before this flight, as I messed up the old one by accidentally wiring up the positive wire, when I was only supposed to connect the signal and earth, to add pitch control from the TX. That was a 3.0, this is a 3.1. It seems to work well, if not, better than the last one. ...lots to learn still!
