https://www.ventrac.com/ For his Eagle Scout project, Vincent Giumenti selected resurfacing the Dover Kiwanis Nature Trail. He is currently one step away from becoming an Eagle Scout and called in Ventrac to help get the job done. This trail sees high amounts of foot traffic, which has left it in poor condition as ruts and puddles have made parts of the path difficult to walk through. Vincent saw the opportunity to tackle this large project and give back to the community by providing a safe trail for people to use again.
You may remember Vincent as the 10-year-old entrepreneur and passionate owner of VG Lawn Service. With big dreams of expanding his business and a love for Ventrac, Vincent is well on his way to cultivating his business. He has picked up a new lawn mower, leaf blower, weed eater, and edger to keep up with demand.

My name is Vincent Guimenti, I'm 14, and I am working on my Eagle Scout Project which was resurfacing a trail here at the Dover City Park. I chose this because we run on it for cross country and it's usually a muddy mess, so it needed to be done. There's also a lot of citizens who use the park and the trails. The people who helped me were Ventrac, Rice's Nursery, my scout troop and a couple of my friends from cross country. It took about 6 months of planning to get it where it is now. His role in the project is to organize it, make all the contacts, get all the people here to work, and lead the project. We started out with 60 tons of limestone and we put it on a 1,100-foot long trail. He was familiar with Ventrac, he's always had a relationship with Ventrac. You were the first people that came to his mind. When he knew he had to move a lot of material in a short amount of time, he couldn't think of a better machine to use. They're compact, and there's a lot of trees along the trail that bigger tractors couldn't fit through. We probably would have had to make a new trail to get to some of the areas because it's so tight. If we would have had so much material in one scoop, it would have been a lot more work to level out one large pile. Here we had several smaller piles, and the workers were able to keep up with the machines. It worked great, it worked so well I was planning on an 8-hour day, and we probably did this in three hours. From start to finish, it was incredible. If we didn't have the Ventrac’s here, we probably would have had to rent equipment. It would have taken a lot longer. I knew they could do it fast, I didn't know they could do it this fast, though. I can't explain how proud I am of him. He's really done a great job. I'm really proud, I'm a very proud father, very lucky father to have a boy like that.
