In which I demonstrate some of the things that even a _broken_ LeCroy 9370M can do.
If I had both channels working, I would be able to show instantaneous power in Watts and the integral of that which is energy in Joules.
Even with just one channel, if you have a good constant DC voltage, you can still integrate the spiky current trace, and then multiply manually by the voltage. This is a valid calculus procedure, but obviously having the scope do it is going to be more accurate.
In this vid I am just looking at the output of the 555 timer. In the next one I will show the Ainslie point "A" trace, under both the 555 timer drive and the FG drive.
This video and all others are using the IRFPG50 mosfet, unless specifically noted otherwise.
Even though I think the 2SK1548 performs better.
