EPSON contracted BMG to produce a live, 8-hour webcast in Times Square as part of a product launch event titled “Swimming in Ink”. BMG was contracted to produce and direct all technical aspects of the webcast, including engineering design, technical equipment management, production staffing, transmission logistics and overall live production support. The event featured live performances by the U.S. women’s synchronized swimming team throughout the day and was shot using 11 cameras – 3 handhelds, 1 hard camera, 1 technojib and 6 POVs. BMG supplied a field correspondent and ENG crew to conduct live and live-to-tape interviews with VIPs and event attendees throughout the day. BMG was contracted to create, design and manage original content which was displayed live on 3 video billboards in Times Square. BMG also supplied event photographers and behind the scenes videographers to capture the full scope and magnitude of the project. In addition, BMG produced several satellite media tours with stations around the country during the event.
