Soo, continuing catching up with posting my races this year, from the end of June, here is one of the toughest skill level races I’ve attended so far.
The FAI WorldCup ITALY????????????
This one was quite an experience for me as I’ve learned so much. Preparing your setup for the track is so important and one of the lessons I’ve learned is that I should have gone with the 1550mah from the start and not experimenting during Qualis.
Another thing I have learned is that I’ve finally got results on the track by giving up my old beliefs and old-school thinking and flying the track before on the simulator. This really helped as the track was quite long and had so many obstacles. Btw, congrats to the guys who made the track in Veloci, it was quite the real deal????????
Most important lesson was that the circle of life is doing it’t job, no matter what. At 34 I don’t feel old but seeing how each year so much young talent is coming up, is clear that the future is theirs and after 9 years of racing, this race made it clear for me that this sport has gone and is going to a whole another level and going Pro, means you really must have the will, time, budget, talent and support for making it trough and compete with the best pilots in the world.
I have nothing to complain about my gear or my mental state, I feel I flew the best I’ve could at that time and with a line-up of 65 pilots and skill level so high, I have to say I don’t fell good for making P36 but not all that bad considering the final table of results and the names and skill filling it????
