This propaganda page dedicated to Québec's freedom fight couldn't be complete without a speech by Pierre Falardeau. Here, Falardeau runs the show, and a good one too. This is a truly Patriotic speech, in the great tradition of early American Republicanism, full of cynicism, wit, historical insight and humor. Again, Falardeau reveals to be a master of sarcasm, and his sarcasm is broad-ranged, aimed altogether at enemies of Québec and at bleeding-hearted defenders of Québec's "autonomy" and "special status" within the canadian Union. No one is left unscorched by Falardeau, whose arguments ram into clichés and half-witted commonly-received ideas like a runaway freight.
This speech was given in early 2008 to underline the launch of the Sherbrooke, QC chapter of the Québécois Resistance Network (Réseau de Résistance du Québécois, a/k/a R.R.Q.), in front of a sold-out audience whose average age ranged around 25.
