The Internet of Things is expanding very quickly. However, nowadays most of the deployments are done in an over-the-top fashion, where IoT applications directly connect to their IoT providers through open Internet connections – cutting service providers out of any service quality control. Casa will analyze the main alternatives of Low Power WAN (LP-WAN) IoT-native protocols running over unlicensed spectrum, compared to mobile-based protocols using a typical broadband cable infrastructure as their support. Comcast will address how IoT energy consumption can be reduced, and how both the customer experience and resource savings could be associated with fewer service calls.
