If you are following our channel, you can see that we are filming short videos reviews of knives and in this video we are going to show Fantoni Hide Fixed blade knife. This knife is made by company Fantoni, based in Maniago Italy. In Maniago, there are really known for knife making over centuries and Fantoni is one of the most known brands from that city. This Hide knife comes with a Kydex sheath. As you can see, this is perfectly designed for this knife. It is really hard to pull out this knife, you can see. You have to apply a lot of force; it is really secured. This sheath has also polymer belt clip, and is made in USA.
The knife was designed by Tommaso Rumici, you can also see here, Tommaso Rumici design. It is made of really special material for the blade, you can see it here code name is CPM-S30V. This is hardened, powder made, sintered, high carbon stainless steel and has really high corrosion resistance and wear resistance. This is really high quality material, probably one of the best you can in knives; great against wear and other abuses. It will really stand up to any challenge. The knife has a drop-point design,
it is about 17.0 cm long, the blade itself is about 8.0 cm long and approximately 4.0 mm thick.
It is one-piece construction, as you can see, full tang, and goes all the way to the end. Basically even though this is a fixed knife, it is really small. It is nice, great for use, and designers did not fall for all this long knives and big dimensions. It weight a little bit less than 70 grams. The finish of the blade and other material is stonewashed.
It has 61-62 HRC surface hardness; this is really, like I said before, a high quality material. The handle is made of Micarta, it has a thickness of 8.3 mm. You can see this canvas Micarta in green color. The texture also offers great grip, even when it is wet. It only has two screws, also made of stainless steel.
And it has a small sling hole at the end. It also has an ergonomic design for the fingers. But what is really important is all the care, and all attention to details, which was invested in this knife, when it was made.
When you see it, it is really rare, that something has such a high rate of quality, and really great finish.
