The twins are 21 months old... only 3 more months and they'll be two!
*The twins are obsessed with hats, shoes, and playing dress ups. We bought them a teddy with doll clothes from ikea and they love dressing him up, bathing him and putting on his shoes and hat.
*Declan and Tayla like doing art activities so we usually do something arty each day. They always stop what they're doing to sit down and watch Mr Maker at 4pm and we get some good crafty ideas from the show. (And i get to enjoy a coffee break while they're mesmerized by the tv)
*The twins have been learning a lot of new songs from daycare. It's really cute to watch their faces when i sing a song that they recognise. Their little faces light up in amazement that mummy knows the song too. Lol. There's one that they keep doing actions to and i'm trying to work out what song it is.
*They are learning mummy's rules (no throwing food, no standing on chairs/tables, no playing with the power points etc), and if one does something naughty, the other one is quick to tell them "No" and looks at me to dob. It's so cute. They're also starting to clean up after themselves. Tayla is very particular and remembers where all her toys go, where as Declan just puts the blocks and books away in any old place. Tayla is always giving him dirty looks when he puts things in the wrong spot.
*I think we're getting closer to being ready to toilet train. I've been holding off because the twins are still not talking a great deal (they talk mostly in their baby twin language, and only have about 20 english words in their vocabulary... but they're improving all the time). I asked them yesterday if one of them had done a poo and Tayla went and checked Declans nappy. It was soo funny :)
