Just a short video showing the startup of the new FighterCat Racing 16s 200A Car ESC in my HPI Brushless E-Baja 5T. This monstrous ESC has a rather nice feature that Castle Creations has not implemented on their ESCs as of yet...but they should!
This anti-spark lead that Benjamin from FighterCat Racing includes on all of the ESCs he sells is a simple, bulleted connection that has a resistor wired inline. This lead gets connected before you connect the main negative lead; its function is to slow down the charging of the capacitors on the PCB so you not only won't get the huge spark all of us with Castle ESCs think is normal, but it also protects the caps from damage!
Nice feature, Benjamin!!
