It was a nice day, about 2 or 3 Degrees Celsius with mild 5-8mph wind gusts. Started with a full battery. As always there is more in this description than in the video.
I have been in contact with FIMI about the Motor Blip on RTH as it starts its decent. They wanted a hover video to see if the craft vibrated. Dont ask me why... It has nothing to do with hover. The second it starts to decent in RTH mode, the motors hiccup. Has happened ever since the last update.
The video quality is good but in this example I find it slightly oversharpened. No matter how I flew, the video remained solid. The gimbal was great. In Sport Mode it really is a fast flyer. Flys more like the Zino which still have no flight mode change.
The X8 SE Waypoint system is not that user friendly. I have tried several others and find the Fimi version counter intuitive. I will say I like the Hubsan App better for this.
PL - Precision Landing... Still not consistent... just saying. I used my landing mat this time and even in other videos it was no better. At least it was close and that's all I really need.
Maybe its the phone I use... but in order to get all the instructions to show up on the screen (like activating Waypoint in map view) I have to have the phone settings on a smaller font size. As a result... there is a lot of information on the screen that I can not see. I cant see speed, Batt life, remaining flight time etc... I wish the telemetry was on the bottom in bold.
Overall the X8 SE performed well and I am confident it will fly responsibly... something I am still hopeful the Zino will pony up and do.
