I ordered a pair of parabolic antenna boosters for my Phantom 3 Advanced from Ebay and ended up with a brand called Sunnylife. There are many other brands like Skyreat and Neewer but they all seem to be pretty much the same. For a few bucks it’s constructed pretty well and seemed like it will work great. But I noticed many folks getting bad results from these and wondered at the discrepancy between those who get great results and those who don’t.
I noticed on the reflectors of my boosters that they were scratched a bit and a little duller than I would have hoped. I began picking at them until a VERY difficult to get to plastic covering was peeled away. The clarity on the reflectors AFTER peeling the plastic off was substantial and I could imagine that using it with the plastic covering ON would reduce results considerably.
So, long story short, if you have one of these, MAKE SURE THE PLASTIC IS OFF THE REFLECTIVE SURFACE!
