This makes it simple...and also shows you how to avoid setting your quad on fire. It's not complex, there's just so much information out there, it's hard to tell what to buy and what to do.
In this video, we'll build our first racing quad copter.
Here's what you'll need:
- a frame
- 4 motors
- 4 ESC's (electronic speed controllers)
- a flight controller
- a battery and charger
- a transmitter and receiver
also a power cable with a female end to connect your battery to.
Step 1: solder your motors to your ESC's
Step 2: solder all of your ESC's to your power (optionally use a power distribution board)
Step 3: connect your ESC's to your flight controller
Step 4: connect your receiver to your flight controller
Power everything up
- you should be able to bind your transmitter to your receiver now
Plug your flight controller into your computer via usb
Download Librepilot (CC3D) or CleanFlight (Naze32)
- go through the setup wizard
Attach your props after completing setup
