Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is considered the Venice of the East with many canals, waterways, and rivers flowing through the city
and residential area. Mostly well-to do housing is built along the water and in fact houses can run into the tens of millions of
dollars owned by business and entertainment moguls. Many of the house owners have boat slips to dock their boats with easy access
to the ocean. The water way is pristine with little pollution.
