I spent a bit of time adjusting the PID
I followed Joshua Bardwell's instruction on how to setup in flight adjustment, I was able to put the PID's on a 3 position switch and raise and lower in flight.

As I adjusted the settings I could actually feel it tighten up as I was flying it.
I would highly recommend in flight adjustment when tuning a quad
