I've been trying to hunt down some settings that will allow me to fly DAL props on my new Falcon 185 (rotorbuilds.com/build/614), but nothing so far has worked. Here's some quick footage of the issue I'm having.
This isn't the only issue, but this one is most easily seen & heard. It's pretty obvious when you hear grinding out of motors that run smooth at the same rpm without the PID controller that it's PID/firmware related. The other issue I'm having is that any D gain above about 4 creates twitches & vibrations in my flights. I can use TPA to reduce the spazzing out, but whats the point of inserting D gain if I have to reduce it by 40-70% for it to quit malfunctioning.
I've had about 6 other experienced pilots walk me through troubleshooting, and nobody can think of anything worthwhile to try. Maybe Kiss gear just isn't for me.
