Installed the Runcam Micro Sparrow camera and Runcam TX25 VTX into the Leader 120. Overall, installation and wiring wasn’t too difficult and everything is working as before, including Betaflight OSD.
This sparrow camera is an excellent upgrade! Colors are much more vibrant, image is sharper, and the WDR and light handling is very good. I can see details and and branches that I could not before. Video reception seems better with the the tx25. The FOV is similar to the stock cam. This upgrade is a MUST!! You will not regret it.
Straight DVR footage from Aomway Commander Goggles, with music added.
Couple notes about install:
- The Leader120 roll cage has an 18mm wide opening, while the Runcam is 19mm wide. The camera will squeeze into the frame if you loosen the top nylon standoff and the lower screws. The roll cage will bow out slightly though.
- Camera tilt is limited due to the plug on the back of the runcam. It will hit the flight controller. I ended up removing the whole ESC plug from the FC and soldered the wires directly to the FC to reduce height. Even doing so, it has less max tilt than stock.
- VTX is laying flat across the top of the FC stack. I used a zip tie to keep it all together. The TX25 VTX is also 19mm wide.
- The Video Pinout diagram for the FC can be found here:

Basically from back to front, it goes GND, PWR, VOUT, VIN.
- No active OSD on the Sparrow, but there is a menu system accessible via OSD cable.
Two thumbs up!!
