I'm not sure what happened.. All was going well until about 01:12 and then apparently suffered a lock out. No control at all. The plane went down in a mud bog. No damage but everything is muddy.. It'll take a while to clean this mess up...
The radio tx/rx is 2.4GHz (Assan) and the video is 900 MHz. I'm thinking that the Rx and its antenna was too close in proximity to the logger/OSDmodule (and all the wires) in the cramped radio bay..
This Wild Hawk sports a TR 28-26 1650Kv Brushless Outrunner motor with a 6x4 prop, a TowerPro w25A ESC, and a gyro stabilized elevator. The servos are stock. The video system is composed of a KX-171 camera (PAL) and 500mW Tx/Rx at 900 MHz from Range Video. The logger and OSD is from Eagle Tree Systems. The camera mount is from Readymade RC. A Sandisk V-Mate DVR is used for recording. The rest is pretty much stock save for the extended rudder and lots of strapping tape at various strategic places on the wing and fuselage.
