This is the build video for my Freewing Model SU-35 EDF jet!
I have wanted to do this video for years already, but now I finally found the time to do it properly. I hope this video helps both newer and experienced Su-35 pilots/modelers all over the world, to make the most out of this magnific RC jet.

UPDATE: It appears that TGY-306G servo has been discontinued. Possible suitable replacements are KST DS215MG and TGY DMC809 but I have not tested them yet... keep tuned!

The Su-35 on the video is dear Люда (Lyuda), my 4th Freewing Su-35 airframe :)
My 3rd Su-35 with the FPV gear (Nadya) is still going, but due to the extra equipment installed on that one, the total weight and resulting center of mass affected negatively the jet's ability to perform certain maneuvers which led me to decide that I needed a separate Su-35 airframe to be able to fly the way I like. (The other will stick to the FPV role and formation flight stuff). I may do her build video as well one day, but not for the time being. There are still many unresolved problems that I want to adress first.

Regarding my SU-35 setup:
This is a fairly modded Freewing SU-35S. It includes a gyro for the TV nozzles to help perform extreme hover and high alpha maneuvers (Stabilizing functions are only turned on for particular maneuvers).
As for the jet itself, the SU-35S is well known for its supermaneuverability features, that are a result of a good aerodynamic design coupled with the use of thrust vectoring nozzless.
The pilot displays a few post-stall maneuvers using the TV nozzles that would be otherwise impossible to perform with a normal jet aircraft.
