Feiyue FY326 Q7 quadcopter (red board) and Mobius action camera. A perfect day with nearly no wind.
WARNING: No music but quadcopter engines noises so cut the sound if you can't bear it
It's better to view this video full screen in HD. The origin video is slightly of better quality (YouTube...)
Directly from camera. Neither Youtube stabilization nor any other stabilization software.
The price of this quad is less than $30, the Mobius less than $70
So for less than $100, we can get full HD low altitude aerial view in 2015.
I fly the quadcopter up slowly because the mobius is heavy for this quad and I didn"t want to kill too early the engines or heat too much the battery. The total weight of the quad+battery+camera is less than 150g.
I climbed the Q7 till it drops out at around 2 minutes in the movie . Those drops out appears because of the short radio range of a red controller board. The second batch of Q7 produced are alas produced with a red flight controller boards with short range only - The first batch used a green controller board with a really better flight range, cf IKKI videos (search IKKI di Phoenix FY326 ) or Quadcopter 101 videos (search Quadcopter 101 FY326) .
It seems that now the red board can also be used with a Devo controller with Deviation software , I will do that someday.
I just modified the transmitter to put a RP-SMA connector with a short 3db WIFI external vertical antenna and put the quad antenna vertically. This mod increase the range slightly.
The propellers are nearly balanced but not perfectly , so there is is a little jello effect due to props vibrations affecting the CMOS Mobius camera.
