This exhibit demonstrates how incidental vehicle jostling can lead to ignition failure in approximately 2.6 million recalled GM vehicles. Insufficient ignition torque can cause unexpected power loss to steering, braking, and airbag/safety systems. At least 13 fatalities and 31 collisions have been linked to the ignition defect.
