UPDATE: Anthony Alonso has been selected to be apart of the 2013 Red Bull Rookies Cup! Anthony was the only American of the 12 riders selected to join the cup!
Before Anthony Alonso headed off to Europe for his BSB Motostar debut and the Red Bull Rookies Cup tryouts, he had some unfinished business to attend to. The penultimate round of the WERA West Championship was the last thing standing in the way of Anthony's European adventure. Not wanting to give up his championship lead, Anthony put a big stamp on his bid for the championship as he displayed total dominance throughout the day, winning every one of his races. In the process he set a personal best lap time of 1:35.9, fast enough to put him 9th on the grid for the Expert 600cc class.
