I was an early backer of the Gotenna project, they arrived and work great. Perfect devices for keeping in touch in areas without cell service where you are still within radio range. For large events or areas where service is spotty and your phone battery may not last all day, you can switch on airplane mode, as the bluetooth radio uses almost no power at all. We meet up with another family at a campsite yearly that has no service at all, so I'll mail him a gotenna in advance so we can find out if they're at the campsite or beach when we get there, as it's a long trip and hard to plan a set arrival time. I'll post a followup review after getting more time with them outdoors.
If you have any questions about them, leave below and I'll answer! I know the video is kind of long since I went through all the features, but I plan on putting together a shorter one soon (with better lighting, oops).
