A 13.5 mile round walk, starting from Brothers Water the route initially heads towards Hartsop and then continues up Gray Crag. From here the route heads south to Thornthwaite Crag and then heads west to Stony Cove Pike and then south west to Kirkstone Pass. From here the route then climbs Red Screes and then continues on to Dove Crag before returning via Dovedale.
