About: Ok, so my other videos so far have just been sketch type material, I wanted to do something a bit longer, with a more of a story. I'd seen a lot of great machinima's before and after playing GTA 5, I got an idea of something I could do.
Doing something like this is wayyy easier on a PC, where you have access to fantastic mods and editing tools but I had to make do with the console version because... I don't have a PC ... and the game isn't out on PC yet. It's possible to get good results using the console version, but it made making the video a lot harder, here's an example:
For the scenes using Trevor as officer Danzig, I needed a police bike, I knew of certain spawn locations but nothing appeared for about 2 hours. When I finally found a bike, I stole it and tried to use the 'lower wanted level cheat" but I couldn't get the damned thing to work, so I tried to loose the cops but crashed and ended up dead! Luckily, it wasn't too hard to find a bike after that, I used the cheat and could start filming but by that time I'd spent 2 and a half hours just getting up to that point. On PC, I could have just spawned the vehicle.
This is my first machinima and I'd have to do others on PC as it's more difficult and restrictive on console. But I am glad it was possible to do it, with some extra work.
