According to Wu and Wang the scope is calibrated.
I unbox and have a look at the GW instek 1102B two channel oscilloscope. Manufactured by the Good Will instrument Co. in Taiwan.
It is a 2 channel 100 MHz oscilloscope with a maximum real time sampling rate of 1GSa/ s in single channel mode and waveform capture rate of 50,000wavefprms per second.
The 7 in LCD screen is not as good as Rigol's. The scope only has a CE rating lacking a UL, TUV or EAC rating so is not compliant with industrial uses. That said it appears to be aimed at the low end hobbyist market.
It is a newer scope on the market so has a more modern design internally than older scopes. The unknown is how well will it be supported by the company. Will firmware updates be implemented in a timely manor to fix bugs? Will it become popular in the hobbyist and maker community?
I like the large size and similar layout to the Tektronix 1000 line.
