Saturday was a stunning, beautiful day. Sunday, not so much. Today the wind was blowing at 13m/s with gray skies threatening to rain.
Perfect flying weather then!
11:40am. Wind, 11.4 m/s (25mph).
An addicted group of RC diehards attended the Halswell Polo grounds for some park flying, and had a hoot in the fast breeze, with a 2Mtr Trojan Z-Foam providing the awe, and other planes filling the sky with their wind buffetted manoeuvres.
The Reptile S800 was more than up to the task, although it did get a bit cranky when trying to fly slow across the wind. So I just let the S800 do its thing, as fast is it would fly on several 3S batteries. Screaming motor noise filled the sky and the S800 revelled in the breeze.
Wahoo!
