Hamstrings are a group of muscles on the back of your thigh that gets injured the most from all muscle groups in your body. You have to make sure you train your hamstrings similar to the way they function, when you are walking or running. This means that the exercises have to involve both hamstrings and glutes in order to create hip extension. If you only do hamstring curls when you’re at the gym, you are asking for a hamstring strain or worse.
