I just finished building this Chinese 250 clone and after testing and tweaking the setup (a LITTLE!) I flew it here for posterity and so you could see what I've been up to.
I had a mishap/DISASTER about FIVE minutes after I shot this video, in which I accidentally bumped the throttle while reaching for the bird and it flew across the kitchen (by ITSELF, of course!) and CRASHED into the kitchen counter top!!!! (It also struck ME in a couple of places when it was first lifting off!) The blades SHATTERED and the feathering shaft self destructed! Needless to say, the bird is *NOW* out of commission (didn't I just *FINISH* it?!?!?!) until I order and receive replacement parts from China!! :(
I was *NOT* a happy camper, let me tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
