This is a video showing some of the build of my kit Bixler, then its maiden flight. I have used a HK 20A ESC, Turnigy Park450 1200kv motor, 8x6 prop CNC Small Parts motor mount, and a 2400mah 3 cell Lipo.
I have modified to include flaps & front LED lights - inserted a 4mm carbon rod into the stock 6mm carbon fibre wing spar. 4mm carbon rod along the rear fuselage and 4mm rod in the rear horizontal stabilizer.
I have modified the top of the fuselage to accomodate the ESC externally and increased the openings where the cables route to aid replacement.
Plane needed 60g of nose weight to balance at 70mm using a 200g 2400mah 3 cell lipo - so have ordered 2 Turnigy 3300mah 3 cells which weigh in at 278g so should balance better without the nose weight.
