In order to properly decarboxylate your plant material you want to hold in those wonderful terpenes rather than letting them escape. Putting your material in a sealed jar preserves them and allows them to reabsorb back into the plant material before you make your oil or butter and makes for better flavor and potency.
Step one gather plant material.
Step two seal plant material in mason jars or vac bags
Step three place in a pot half filled with water and bring the water to a slow boil for 45 minutes
Step four remove from stove and place in fridge for one hour before opening and using to make your edible butter or coconut oil
