The name Vindaloo is derived from the Portuguese dish that was known as “Carne de Vinha d’Alhos” that means a dish made of pork cooked with wine. Slowly the locals of Goa in India replaced the wine with vinegar and added their touch of spices and blends.
The authentic taste of vindaloo comes from a unique blend of garlic, vinegar, and kashmiri chili.
