Located near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, the former World War Two RAF base was home to many USAAF bomber groups during it's working life. The airfield is still in minor civil operation and still overlooked by the original green Control Tower which is now a museum. The Control Tower is currently maintained by a local charity and is the venue for occasional vintage events.
