I have not seen anyone do this yet, so I thought I'll be the first to try how the new Sony Action cam, X3000 would perform with its awesome Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the drone, there is alot of vibration that needs to be cut out in order to achieve a smooth looking video, so after a few tries I decided to go with an anti vibration pad, as strapping the X3000 straight to the body still yielded some high frequency jello effect at times.
So why do this? Well, its a cheap and flexible alternative to buying an expansive gimbal drone, also its detachable.
Shot with 1080p60 mode, 'Active' OIS and flipped upside down image (in camera setting). Drone was manually piloted to initial location then 'Follow me' mode enabled.
Decent results :)
Yep, its Fraser Island's 123km beach stretch :)
