Huygens suggested the possibilites of suggesting light as a wave rather than a particle.
And the Maxwell Theory of Electromanetic Radiation had supported Huygens Theory. Em wave theory had given the conclusion that light is an em wave having certain frequency and wavelength and also these em waves are the combination of variation in electric and magnetic field .Maxwell said that a varying electric field creates a varying magnetic field and this varying magnetic field creates varying electric field and he classify all other type of wave like x-rays, radio wave , microwave, heat wave into a single spectrum known as electromagnetic spectrum.
Now this E/M theory had supported the wave theory of huygens and Huygens had also said in his theory about an hypothetical medium known as ether which is spread in all over the universe but we can see it.
