Hyundai has revealed its first-ever sub-4 metre SUV, the Venue, ahead of its launch on May 21st 2019. This stylish SUV takes on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra XUV 300 and is configured suitably to rise to the challenge. Here are all the important details you need to know about the upcoming SUV.
New Hyundai Venue Variants and Price:-
The Venue compact SUV will be offered in a total of three engine variants. The entry-level version will be petrol-fuelled and will be configured in four variants - Hyundai Venue E, Hyundai Venue S, Hyundai Venue SX and Hyundai Venue SX (O). The same variant structure will apply to the diesel-engined version as well. Prices will begin at a competitive Rs 8 lakh for the base petrol version going up to Rs 12 lakh for the top-end diesel. Hyundai offers a 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty on the Venue alongside a 3-year roadside assistance package as well.
Hyundai Venue Features and Standard Equipment:-
What's a truly great Hyundai without a bucketload of features? The Venue is no exception to this. Among its long list of features are projector headlights with cornering lamps, LED daytime running lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, the Hyundai BlueLink connectivity module, a generous 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a cooled glovebox, Arkamys sound package and hill assist control. Yes, it features a sunroof as well! Safety is similarly uncompromised with a maximum of 6 airbags being offered on the top-spec variant. The standard equipment across variants includes dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

A total of five colour options will be available across all variants of the Hyundai Venue.
Hyundai Venue Engines, Gearboxes and Performance:
To maintain a healthy balance between zippy performance and the all-important fuel-efficiency, Hyundai has equipped the Venue with three engine options - 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel which currently serves the Creta as well. The 1.0 version produces 120PS and 171.6Nm of torque, and will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.2 petrol produces 83PS and 114.7Nm of torque and will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the 1.4 diesel, which produces 90PS and 219.6Nm of torque, will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox only. If the numbers are anything to go buy, expect the Venue to be a capable urban performer with strong highway ability, and fairly fuel-efficient, too.
