Here is a quick video about how I keep losing Betsy thanks to the fact that Betsy has a Chassis Number instead of a VIN (Or VIN Number)
The issue mainly revolves around modern computer systems wanting an ISO Standard 17 digit VIN, as they have been around for so long now that there are few cars on the road day to day that still utilise other types of identification numbering.
Some states have taken the approach of issuing a VIN at rego time, or when a car is transferred into the state, this alleviates the issues when there car is able to be looked up on modern computer systems.
